Art-ithmetic Weaving

Math and art go hand-in-hand in this delightful workshop where students will get the chance to make their own card weaving art creation of a spiders web!
Bringing their creativity and math skills to life using patterns, shapes, and colors, symmetry.
This workshop + your class = an amazing experience!

Curriculum Expectations: 
Grade 1: The Arts
  • D1. Creating and Presenting
    apply the creative process to produce a variety of two- and three-dimensional art works, using elements, principles, and techniques of visual arts to communicate feelings, ideas, and understanding
Grade 1: Mathematics
  • C1. Patterns and Relationships
    identify, describe, extend, create, and make predictions about a variety of patterns, including those found in real-life contexts
  • E1. Geometric and Spatial Reasoning
    describe and represent shape, location, and movement by applying geometric properties and spatial relationships in order to navigate the world around them 

Grade 2: The Arts
