A St. Thomas, Ont.-based educational charity wants to gather 400 used computers in order to donate them to people who need them to help bridge what organizers believe is a growing gap between those with access to the internet and those without. The STEAM Centre, which helps people of all ages build skills in science, technology, engineering and math (STEAM) through workshops and programs, has been collecting and refurbishing desktop and laptop computers from donors since 2016.
